Thread on #Giants Daniel Jones
Great eye manipulation from Jones here to force defense #34 into covering the flats before he throws up the middle.
This is a yankee concept with max protection. 7 blockers against 5 pass rushers and they still let up immediate pressure. However, Jones is able to maneuver in the pocket and create enough time to launch this dime down the field.
Avoids the pressure off to the left and throws an accurate ball as he rolls to the left.
Really nice touch throw in the redzone. Out and away from the safety and corner.
Daniel Jones demonstrates his ability to throw with anticipation on this come back route. The ball arrives as soon as the receiver turns around and the corner has no time to react.
The pocket completely collapses, but Jones is able to break two tackles and turn this into a nice gain.
Daniel Jones turned this pocket into a 17 yard gain.
Thought he deep ball looked much better during his rookie year than it did in college. Developed a nice connection with Darius Slayton down the field.
Even though this ball is knocked out, this throw has some really nice ball placement from Jones. With the corner having outside leverage, Jones fits this ball on the inside shoulder of Engram into a tight window as the safety closes in.
Look off throw. Daniel Jones first looks to the left and then fires a ball up the middle into a tight window. The look off created just enough space for his receiver.
Over one defender and then sandwiched between two more. Crazy tight window throw.
Pre-snap, Daniel Jones identifies and even points out the blitzer. He then quickly throws directly into the direction of the blitz to his hot route.
Deep ball placed high and over the corner, giving Darius Slayton a chance to make a play on the ball.
Jones avoids one sack by stepping up in the pocket and then gets the ball out as he is getting hit. He drops this ball into some really tight coverage.
Really like his poise under pressure. With pressure coming from his right side, Jones doesn't panic but finds his man and fires an accurate ball to the sideline.
Really nice deep ball up the seam.
Again really nice poise under pressure. This is an area that a lot of rookie QB's tend to struggle.
On this play, Daniel Jones throws with timing and anticipation to beat the Eagles' tight zone coverage. Jones gets the ball out quickly so that the defenders don't have time to close on the ball in their zone.
Rolling to his left, drops an absolute dime down the field.
