I feel some type of way about how anglophone media is reporting the gay club COVID-19 outbreak but idk how to describe it

I see headlines saying how S. Korea is “struggling” to contain the outbreak because homophobia is “hindering” their efforts but they’re... really not? KCDC is experienced with working with gay communities because they’ve been dealing with HIV. (We have free HIV treatment)
We have less than 200 Itaewon-related (including but not limited to gay people) confirmed cases from over 24,000 tests so far while USA is seeing more than 10,000 new cases per day. Even with considering the population difference, it’s clear that we are not the ones struggling?
But let’s talk about homophobia since that is the issue at the hand. The only reason we even know some of theses places are gay spaces is because a religion department “journalist” from a protestant affiliated media outlet reported about it. (KCDC didn’t want it to be known)
While there are plenty of non-religious homophobes, the most vocal and organized homophobic force in S. Korea are the protestants (depending on church/denomination of course) and where did we get protestantism from? US (and British) missionaries.

Unrelated but somewhat related fact: S. Korean far-rights hold USA flags in their “conservative” protests along with S. Korea flags... one day I will get into the reason for that but not today
I almost forgot to add my actual point in this thread. Interesting how Western™ media rushed to report S. Korean homophobia when there is no evidence of material harm but they weren& #39;t so enthusiastic about sinophobia and actual hate crimes Asians in their countries faced.
