BREAKING: Confirmation St Ignatius College, Riverview is heading into lockdown due to a confirmed COVID Case. Day Students asked to leave the school immediatley and borders are returning to their accommodation. Lessons were interrupted by a lockdown alarm. Email below.

All staff and students are being asked to remain in place, before a social distance 'evacuation' via a Sporting Field as per usual Fire Drill procedure. Day Students will then return home and boarders will return to their accommodation.

Some confusion re how old the child who contracted COVID was - earlier ABC & I tweeted it was understood he was in Yr12. That was also being speculated by Riverview students. Now hearing that possibly wasn't correct and it actually was a Yr7 student. Unclear though for now.
