Naby Keïta's numbers this season are unreal, and that’s an understatement.

(GRAPH THREAD)⬇️
-I'm going to be showing you some all round stats of Naby Keita this season.

-But take all of these with a pinch of salt, he has only played 13 games and 619 minutes, but to display the numbers he has so far, across 619 minutes of PL and UCL football, is still very impressive.
-I'll be using some advanced metrics looking at all aspects of his midfield play, both going forward and defending, as he has played mainly in a central midfield role.

-I'll compare him to some of the top PL midfielders this season, and you'll be amazed.

-Let's get started.⬇️
-First, I want to show you Keita's numbers alone, using metrics which give the number & percentile.

-This means, if you are in the 99th percentile, you are better in that specific stat, than 99% of players in Europe's top 5 leagues in the same position.
-The more filled out the bar, the higher the percentile.

-1 graph compares him to all attacking mids/wingers, using stats relevant to that position.

-The other graph compares him to Central and Defensive midfielders, using relevant stats.
-This thread will contain a lot of graphs, so make sure you look at each one to understand just how good Keita's numbers are.

-A quick note, all stats are judged on a PER 90 basis.

-A glossary will be attached at the end to explain each stat.
-Here are Keita's graphs.
-As you can see, he is in the 90th + percentile compared to other attacking midfielders in:

Successful pressures
Dribble success
Successful dribbles
Pass completion
Progressive distance
Passes into box
Open play shot creating actions

-And in the 89th for expected assists.
-And he is in the 90th + percentile compared to other Central/Defensive midfielders in:

Expected assists
Open play shot creating actions
Passes into final third
Progressive distance
Pass success %
Successful dribbles
Succesfull pressures
Tackles won
Tackle/Dribbled past %
-Now, I don't think a lot of you realise JUST how scarily good that is, plus the fact he is in the 98th-100th percentile in about half of those.

-So, to give you more context, I'll compare his numbers to some top individual premier midfielders this season.
-First, we'll compare his attacking midfield numbers with Jack Grealish, who has been one of the leagues best attacking midfielders, I'll attach the graphs.
We can see Keita leads in:

Non-Penalty goals
Excpected assists (xA)
Passes into box
Progressive distance
Pass success %
Successful dribbles
Dribble success %
Less times dispossessed
Successful pressures
xGBuildup
xGChain
