here's my sum total of programming opinions

- it's bad
- almost everything is a structural problem
- before that, a social one
- fashion soaked and celebrity driven at the best of times
- computers only make things faster, not better
- also, none of you are funny, ever
programming is a process by which we see other people solving a problem, and then copy it, hoping that we have that exact same problem

or we do the exact same thing we've always done, and use whatever terminology is in fashion to describe it
people mock the way in which we all copy and paste the answers from stack overflow, but that's exactly how all project management fads have worked for the last couple of decades

the only good thing agile did was to dethrone the rational unified process
maybe i'll become an agile training expert, repeating the same broken ideas over the course of twenty years, and then blaming my audience for misunderstanding me, rather than learning to communicate effectively

and completely ignoring power structures while i'm at it
turns out there's no good way to move post-it notes around a board to compensate for poor management, who knew
performing self care by muting this thread immediately and hopefully forgetting about it entirely
