I don't really need to see anymore pictures of people gathering with their friends at the park.

You can't expect people to CHOOSE to stay in their house for MONTHS. You should have FORCED people to stay in their house for WEEKS and we wouldn't be here.
There is literally no end in sight to social-distancing and most people are not built (like I am) to spend months alone in their apartment. They need air and people and interaction and sunshine.
Small groups of 5 or 6, people you trust that are telling you the truth about their social interactions and roommates/living situations, wearing your masks to and from to prevent potentially spreading germs to unsuspecting passersby, washing your hands.

That's the best we got.
Had we forced people to stay in the house for 2 to 4 weeks until we had contact tracing & widespread testing in place, we wouldn't be as worried.

But we didn't. We stayed in the house to flatten the curve and prevent overwhelming the healthcare system.
Now what? We stay in the house for another 16 months until there's a vaccine?

I'm just talking out loud. I have no problem staying in the house for 16 months because I'm clinically depressed anyway.

But I'm just saying: Do y'all expect people to stay in the house all summer?
We actually self-isolated better than I expected. Yeah we saw some parties and gatherings go viral, but the fact that they went viral means the majority of us were doing what we were supposed to.

We did our job -- the government did not. Because NOTHING has changed since March.
Anyway. I don't really have a point other than frustration. Photos of people hanging out with their friends at the park don't hit the same way now as they did a couple of months ago because back then we assumed the gov't was working on safe practices. They weren't. So now what?
