(1) Inspiration from everyone’s favourite @muftimenk and a couple of other sources, feel free to correct me if you think I may have expressed something wrong, this thread is a reminder for me first and foremosthttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🥰" title="Smiling face with 3 hearts" aria-label="Emoji: Smiling face with 3 hearts">
(2) These last 10 nights are the most BLESSED nights of the entire year. The best example I’ve heard to comprehend this is a sports match however the two can’t be compared as Ramadan is very different.
(2.2) Towards the end of the match, we all want to score AS MANY goals we can to solidify our win. Just like towards the end of Ramadan, we should score extra goals and gain extra rewards especially as there is no goalkeeper (Shaytaan). There is no excuse for laziness.
(3) Our Prophet Muhammad saw (pbuh) used to get his family and participate in the worship of Allah so we should do the same, now more than ever and take it seriously. We should not let these moments slip through our fingers.
(4) The Odd Nights: The Night of Decree is so powerful. Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months. Give charity on one of the odd nights and if it falls on Laylatul Qadr then your rewards will be multiplied unimaginably by Allah!
(4.2) It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever stays up and prays on Laylat al-Qadr out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
(4.3) Aa’ishah said: “I said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, if I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say on that night?’ He said, ‘Say: Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb al-‘afwa fa’affu ‘anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me).”
(4.4) Asking for forgiveness is so important, The Mercy of Allah is unmatched, if you commit a sin then don’t be put off from repenting as Our Lord is most Forgiving!
(5) One important thing we should all do is maintain worship. We may never see Ramadan again, we have lost so many during this holy month and our time on this dunya is limited. Our lease of life will come to an end so we should do everything to help Allah be pleased with us.
(6) We should contribute to good causes and help the needy, help those individuals who cannot help themselves. As some of us are in a more privileged position, we should see it as our duty to aid those who are less fortunate.
(7) This is the month of resolving disputes, don’t hold grudges and eradicate any bad characteristics for e.g. ignorance, selfishness etc. Do not engage in bad words, your manners are your beauty.
(8) This month and its duration is perfectly planned, the most exciting time is towards the end and not the beginning as maybe it was so, we would lose interest towards the end. If it was shorter than a month, maybe we would not make the most of it. The divine plan of Allah.
(9) During this time, we should rejuvenate our faith. We need eachother now more than ever. We need the mercy of Allah. May Allah eradicate all harm all over the world. May Allah grant us all Jannat-ul Firdous. May you all have a blessed Eidhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤍" title="White heart" aria-label="Emoji: White heart">
