Although I appreciate the effort/intent here, have a few problems with this.

1) You could do this for every single demographic in the US that isn’t economically “well off.” Corporations exist to exploit that, not just sneaker companies with black people. https://twitter.com/truehoop/status/1262389819197489159
2) The idea that LeBron has the ability to get Nike to lower their price of sneakers to $15 is ridiculous. Nike became a juggernaut selling attainable luxuries. It’s like asking Apple to start selling cheap smart phones. Consumers want to feel they can have a piece of premium.
Consumers know cheap hoop sneakers exist. They don’t want to play in cheap basketball shoes, when basketball is their favorite thing in the world. They want a premium experience. They don’t want to wear cheap shoes when they are putting a fit together to express themselves.
And again, this isn’t just for working class and poor black kids with sneakers. This goes for every demographic that isn’t well off. Every poor and working class demo has an attainable luxury product that corporations are actively marketing to them.
And if the problem is marketing to kids, that’s what their parents are there for. They control if money is spent in these instances. Unless you’re saying these folks aren’t capable of making sound decisions WRT how they should spend their money (which I completely disagree with).
