Here's something obscure about the #OvertonWindow that maybe #bustwitter can help with

When I was young, the school bus, run by Snell's of Newton Abbot, was often a @plaxtoncoaches Supreme. This (photo by Les Eddy—Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/8615623@N04/7859383320/in/pool-2849643@N25/ ) was one of the actual buses 1/
Plaxtons had a sister company, Wilfred Overton, who made bus and coach interiors and fittings. They'd developed things like folding roofs for charabancs http://archive.commercialmotor.com/article/28th-october-1930/108/all-weather-heads-for-the-motor-coach and later specialised in doors (photo from @Comm_Motor's amazing archive) http://archive.commercialmotor.com/article/18th-august-1988/14/overton-opens-the-door 2/
But Overton also made opening roof-lights for coaches, the glass or perspex rectangular domed things on top that were mainly I think for ventilation in an era before air conditioning. 3/
And the roof-lights on the Plaxton Supreme, which I can visualise in my schoolboy mind's eye from 30 years ago, had a "WO" logo on them, in dark blue in a kind of angular italic font, and then the word OVERTON.

They were literally Overton Windows. 4/
and it stuck in my mind (who knows why?) for long enough that the first time I ever heard the #overtonwindow term in relation to politics, maybe 10 or 12 years ago, the logo and the roof light flashed into my mind. 5/
So what I'm asking is—does anyone have a photo of a roof-light from a Plaxton Supreme, or later models (Paramount?), with an Overton logo on it? It would be (mildly?) useful/amusing to use for illustrating the #overtonwindow concept. As a stock image you could make serious £sd 6/
p.s. you can just about see what *might* be some "Overton windows" / roof-lights in this beautiful conversion that @WebbEllisArt have for sale https://www.webb-ellis.org/beautifully-restored-and-converted-rare-vintage-coach/

p.p.s. If this thread doesn't lose me some followers, then the world's going to be OK. 7/7
