please bear with me, this thread will probably be a mess... ill put as many screenshots as possible, but pls watch the mv yourself to look at any scenes i reference that may be confusing.
at first, i was dissecting the music video for more things to back up yeonjun and beomgyu being accomplices (which is still the case) when i realized something about the very beginning. the diary shows not only video footage of beomgyu trying to put yeonjuns fire out (the one
from the run away mv) but also small drawings at the top and bottom. youll notice that beomgyu is the only one that moves to put out the fire, none of the other three leave their positions. youll also see that beomgyu fails to put out the fire, and the fire engulfs the diary.
i then want to jump forward to this part, at about 1:04, where the lights go red as beomgyu says "you turn your back when the fire is burning." basically, i'm saying that beomgyu and yeonjun d*ed in that fire. meaning they're ghosts.
so, yeonjun and beomgyu come back to them and soobin (as you can see) is thrilled. i'm not sure exactly how or why theyre visiting the others/can be seen by them even as ghosts, but hey, i didnt say my theory
wouldn't have holes. anyways, it seems soobin is thrilled to have his friends back despite the fact that they should definitely be dead, chalking it up to a bad dream, but you do see him kind of swap back and forth between belief and disbelief often and appear conflicted/distant.
taehyun, on the other hand, seems like he knows something is up from the very beginning. he's carefully watching what beomgyu and yeonjun do when they go up to the door, and he's also the only one besides beomgyu to eat a cookie- and what does he do after eating it? look off to
the side (where no one is) as if in confusion or as if he's looking for someone. youll also note that the way yeonjun hands beomgyu the cookie is awkward, almost as if hes trying to feed it to him in secret?? this is where i think taehyun starts to catch onto the fact that theyre
dead. taehyun is also the first one to be shown eating strawberries!! directly after he eats them, the scene i referenced earlier where beomgyu says "you turn your back when the fire is burning." i think beomgyu is angry about the betrayal, and hes now realized taehyun knows
they're dead- and whats the next non-choreo scene?? beomgyu smashing up all the strawberries and the two ghosts chasing taehyun around the kitchen island. you should also note that hueningkai is almost hiding behind the kitchen counter eating what looks like the same bowl of
strawberries that taehyun was eating, leading me to believe that this is when he realizes it too. he's also shown in the room where beomgyu and yeonjun suffocate/k*ll taehyun.
not too long after this, yeonjun has his scene of where he looks at his hands before calling out "save me." i think it's here where yeonjun starts to regret helping beomgyu get his revenge, and even tho i think beomgyu had plans to k*ll the other two members as well, no other
scenes in the video seem to point towards more death- i think this is because he and yeonjun have a falling out. now, the question is: what happens to soobin and hueningkai if they don't end up dying? it's kind of hard to tell, but if we pull the trailer for eternity to the mix,
it would seem that soobin is the only one left, so hueningkai shouldnt be alive, but he could just be hiding from beomgyu and yeonjun (mostly beomgyu) and soobin can't find him, so soobin goes crazy from the loneliness and starts hallucinating that all of them are still w/ him
AGAIN, this is a mess and not fully cohesive, but it's a thought,,, might add more later if i find other things.
