So heres a quick Coby thread cause im trying wrap my mind around WHY Akainu has this much faith in Cobys strength to send him after a warlord of Boa's caliber.

So starting with Cobys hands. One thing I noticed is the sheer size of them. If you look before the time skip back in water 7 he had decent sized hands but they arent nearly as large and muscular as post ts.

They almost look similar to another hero of the marines

Why this is important imo are the way he uses them. In the episode of Luffy (non-canon but stay with me) he uses a form of tempest kick but with his hands/arms. On top of that he uses Skywalk. I am a firm believer if Oda puts a ability in a filler episode 95% chance its canon.

Now as far as the torpedo he encounters in chapter 903. He is shown to grab the torpedo and cracks form from every tip of his finger. It then explodes after misdirection. One of two explanations for this.

Ryou helped him make the torpedo explode from the inside out. Which is possible with garp mentoring.

Or

He has tremendous finger strength he can use to create those cracks. It could also imo be a form of finger pistol which would make sense based on what weve been shown.

Now as far as Coby definite most naturally talented ability, observation.

Its shown at marineford that he was able to hear voices on the battlefield and then would lose them as they are cut down.

Its also should be noted in 903 that Helmeppo comments on his obs+

While this in itself is not a feat cause we assume Helmeppo isnt that strong of a user the fact he seemed to be able to tell Kyros strength as well as our knowledge of his unique ability at marineford it seems to me to be justified.

Imo EOS will be top 5 obs in the verse.

All this to say, I don't believe he should be able to beat Boa but it seems possible at this point especially with all the speculation regarding the SSG. I think his connections to Garp and Aokiji are important and we do need to watch when he is on panel. Lmk what you guys think
