I finished the clown book a few days ago and am on a tight deadline for work so how about some light Eddie Kaspbrak meta

So much of Eddie’s story in the books and movies is about belief or conviction: “it doesn’t matter if it’s a placebo, words don’t matter if a thing works,” being the intuitive navigator, the monster isn’t dangerous if you believe it isn’t dangerous, etc.

In the book his POV is frequently framed with religious description and references

He clutches his aspirator like a religious artifact, he remembers the sandlot ball game as a religious ritual, he thinks about communion and transubstantiation (and is suitably freaked out)

Both foreshadowing (esp. for the book ending) and something to think about re: internalized homophobia, etc. even though Eddie's described as a fairly apathetic Methodist

The point is, I love social media AUs and fics touching on resurrection/biblical influences and adjacent topics (e.g., muth and one ring)

Bonus something I love in fanon: Richie loves music and is kind of a snob about it and Eddie listens to pop/top 40 (thanks 10-yr reunion and others)

In conclusion the entire reason I wrote this thread is to say that someone should definitely absolutely write a reddie PWP inspired by False God by Taylor Swift thank you for your time
