Along the lines of economic recovery, I’d like to talk about the budget.

COVID-19 is unlike anything we have ever faced before. It has had devastating impacts not only on public health, but also the economy and state revenues.

We have had to take a hard look at our budget.

We do have federal funds available under the #CARESAct, which will help, but there are challenges ahead. As we work through this process, I want Missourians to know that we will be as transparent as possible.

On April 10, I established an informal working group, led by @MOTreasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, to help make recommendations on the best use of federal funding.

We hope that by providing this information and updating the public will reassure Missourians that we are working hard to make every dollar count.
