If you were diagnosed (or in treatment) with #breastcancer or any #cancer just before we all collectively fell into some bad B movie - #bccww - if might feel you are alone.
Juggling cancer & living through a pandemic many of us won’t know. But living with or through #breastcancer is all too familiar. #cancertwitter generally and #bccww is full of those who can support, hear you and listen.
Chat to people, you don’t necessarily have to follow them or any group straight away. If you do and find it isn’t helping - unfollow them. Or use mute. This is about what helps. #bccww
Don’t compare your treatment now to anyone else (it might matter how long ago someone was treated). Treatments change and regimes are tweaked. #bccww ask questions, pick up tips. But don’t ever think it is medical advice.
That’s not to say if you see information that is helpful - you shouldn’t ask your oncologist about it or discuss it with them. #bccww
Most importantly don’t let anyone tell you how to ‘do’ #breastcancer. Living with and through it doesn’t have ‘A how to’ book. But there are many to walk along with you if needed.
You can follow @bccww.
