Horns isn’t even a definite aspect of ska. Ska from the late 50s - 70s didn’t use horns much (aside from the skatalites who were somewhat of an anomaly) horns were more accents than a main thing. Ska is definitely by the Afro-Caribbean rhythms with 50s popular songwriting
