1. So let me tell you about my evening walk in #Wick! I took the coastal path. The first thing I encountered was a giant HGV blocking the path. I don't think it's obvious from the photo, but the green strip to the left is a tiny edge beyond which is a steep drop of ~20 meters.
2. Then I got this nice shot of the old rescue station, and an interestin plant.
3. Once I got past the monument, the air didn't smell so fresh anymore, it smelt like an old ashtray. I soon saw the source.
It only takes one house like this in a whole block to destroy the air quality for about a kilometer radius.
4. Pinpointing these remaining few pollution sources & helping them switch to cleaner fuels is relatively trivial, and would give huge gains in public health & a reduction of CO2 footprint. Switching to cleaner fuel shouldn't be seen as a luxury to be paid for by the homeowner!
It's in everybody's interest that this type of *completely unnecessary* air pollution is actioned. Note that this house is directly in front of a children's play park as well. [ @HighlandCouncil cc this thread]
