One of the best Toastmasters speeches I’ve listened to this date, had a girl get on stage, look at us with a smile and say “Mine is bigger than yours.”

And then she went on to tell us about the hardships and the pitfalls she had to go through when growing up.

The whole time I..
.. was glued in to the speech. She went on to speak about trauma and the effect it had on her psyche.

Her point was throughout the speech was, whatever your struggle is, it’s important to you. No one gets to belittle it. It’s yours.

More over..
.. you don’t get to belittle someone else just because you had experienced trauma in your life.

Humility comes from acceptance. You shouldn’t cause someone else pain, just because you are/were in pain.
The speech was given by the ever awesome @KhadiRamzi 😊
