A familiar manual of dictators and colonialists calls for harsh measures and collective punishment to be imposed upon a population until someone somewhere turns violent. The violence is then used to justify and ramp up the collective punishment.
Essentially, the reactions of a besieged and traumatized population is used as justification for their besiegement and traumatization.
They then speak about "peace" and insist that the oppressed are the problem. But they don& #39;t want peace, they want exactly this status quo. They need to keep that population in a dehumanized state in order to justify their continued dehumanization.
