And yes the gift is the box itself. It’s an official 1998 Wizards Of The Coast Pokémon cardbox. It’s in such great condition I’m speechless. That’s so thoughtful. We grew estranged due to a lot of stuff that’s happened in the past but he’s recently reached out in hopes we could reconnect. That’s probably the first birthday gift (not given by my father) that I’m getting in years

Even tho I don’t collect Pokémon stuff anymore, it’s something that I grew up with and it’s been a part of my life ever since. It is a huge part of who I am. I even have two Pokémon tattoos (that were supposed to be three) and I’m pretty sure it’s something I’ll never regret~
