Zuko spent his teenage years trying to capture the world’s only hope just so his father would love him, realized that the love he needed was always there with him in his uncle, then helped the Avatar defeat his father and became the new Fire Lord. Zuko is the only right answer. https://twitter.com/drayolaya/status/1261925388336246789
Imo, in addition to Zuko, these are the 5 best written characters in the series
2. Aang: Hard to dispute. He was overwhelmed by his duties as the Avatar and went missing for 100 years. Woke up and had to deal with a whole different world than the one he knew, and struggled with finding what justice really means. Also the show’s content came mostly from him
3. Katara: Started off a helpless girl from a destroyed tribe, scarred by her mother’s death. She showed tremendous strength and became the group’s mom. By the end of the series was the most powerful water bender. She showed many mom-like qualities without anyone teaching her how
4. Uncle Iroh: You trippin if he ain’t the wisest cartoon you know. Was a top Fire Nation General and after his son died, turned away from a life of violence. There were many innuendos included in the show that came full circle at the conclusion that showed his spiritual journey
5. Firelord Ozai: The main antagonist and embodiment of evil. They aint even show his face until the last book. All Aang’s past lives and people he met on his journey kept saying how he needed to beat this man. Also he was giving Aang that work until he went in the Avatar State.
