Cerlyn Cantave, Engagement, Equity & Inclusion Associate @ChildrensHW, describes how in Chicago, 29% of community is black, but make up 70% #COVID19 cases; in Milwaukee, 21% of community is black, but make up 81% of cases. Structural #racism is big contributor for this disparity.
Black communities are often excluded from access to #COVID19 testing; many are going to hospitals, but aren't getting the same level of care. 16.2% Latinx & 19.7% Black workers aren't able to work from home & many of them are essential workers,their risk to getting COVID19.

Many of @ChildrensHW policy priorities during #COVID19 are centered around ensuring all families have enough $ to afford basic needs. This includes supporting policies around #EITC, #CTC, direct payments, #SNAP, emergency rental assistance, & investment in childcare.
