After 10 hours of “The Last Dance” we’ll spare you the time and tell you the MICHAEL JORDAN AT PENN story in 10 Tweets.

While that other MJ and his Bulls teammates were performing their “last dance” in 1997-98, our MJ was a sophomore constructing his own all-time career. #Whānau
(2/10) That sophomore year, MJ led us in scoring (15.3 ppg), assists and steals. He was named first-team All-Ivy and All-Big 5 for the first time. We finished second in the Ivy standings, behind a Princeton team that was ranked in the top 10 nationally. #Whānau
(3/10) The stage was set for a breakout year for Michael Jordan and teammates in 1998-99, and early returns were promising. GAME 1: A 61-56 loss to #8 Kansas at The Palestra. GAME 2: A 73-70 win over #7 Temple in what remains the program’s last win over a Top 10 opponent. #Whānau
(4/10) Michael Jordan and his teammates opened Ivy play with six wins, five of them by double figures. That set the stage for Tuesday, Feb. 9, and maybe the most famous game in Ivy League men’s basketball history as 6-0 Princeton and 6-0 Penn squared off at The Palestra. #Whānau
(5/10) On that night, Princeton scored the first three points of the game. We scored the next 29. We led 33-9 at the half, 40-13 early in the second half.

Somehow, we lost 50-49.

We still call it “Black Tuesday.” (Not “Black Sunday"...that's a story for another day.) #Whānau
(6/10) That would be the last Ivy League game MJ and his classmates would lose (against 21 wins). We would still win the Ivy title that year, the coronation completed when we avenged the Tigers 73-48 in the season finale. MJ was first-team All-Ivy and All-Big 5 again. #Whānau
