fat jokes aren't even funny. what's the punchline? "wow, that person has more body fat than what is currently considered acceptable by a society whose standards of beauty are constantly changing and mostly unattainable!" what clever observational humour, truly.

"haha, get it? it's funny because that person looks different from how I think people should look!" is a terrible genre of comedy all around. there is nothing redeeming about it. it's not clever or witty to mock people who don't meet your arbitrary attractiveness standards.

and y'all *know* it's not funny, because the moment it's turned back on you - the moment anyone dares to say something less-than-complimentary about thin people, white people, abled people, cis people, y'all lose your entire MINDS. "thin-shaming hurts too! all lives matter!" huh.

there's literally a movement of white women crying over being called "karen" as a joke. privileged people will dish it out all day, but they sure as hell can't take it. fat jokes are funny to y'all, but "thin-shaming" (which isn't real, grow up) is so harmful!!!

what's the punchline? do you really think donald trump, a cartoon caricature of a supervillain, makes decisions that hurt people because of his dress size? do you think he'd somehow be less inhumane if he lost weight? bush was skinny, what was his excuse?

weight does not have a moral value. fat does not have a moral value. trump isn't evil because he's fat, he's evil because he doesn't care about anyone except himself and people he finds useful. he would be that way if he was thin, too! he *was* that way when he was thin!

donald trump was thin for years and he was still the same selfish, greedy, megalomaniacal, uncaring, unfeeling, inconsiderate jerk he is today. he didn't put on weight and become a bad scooby-doo parody villain overnight. he was always this way!

target his policies, his bombastic bigotry, his hatred and inability to understand people who aren't exactly like him, his predation, his mockery of marginalised people (including other fat people, by the way), the damage he's done to civil rights. there's so much there!

and none of it - NONE of it - has anything to do with his weight.

he was always this way, and if you think making jokes about his weight is an appropriate response, then you were always this way, too.

I'm going to keep this unmuted for the sole purpose of hiding replies and blocking concern trolls, but please know that I have heard all your arguments about why being fat is Bad, Actually and they all suck
