what is the point of both-sidsing america's war crimes (other than just being The Unwoke Contrarian)

pretty sure every single person knows about Japanese war crimes against POWs, and that it's utterly irrelevant to the atomic bombs. also the former is properly treated with horror in American histories while the latter at best gets "well, it was a difficult decision"
