This is not a single cave but a series of caves, main cave is 160m long
and is 90 feet deep from the point of entrance, there is a 1 Km long cave inside the main cave, idols are naturally made of limestone. Images of #Ganesha #Sheshnag #Shivling are distinctly visible
There are four entrances to cave #Randwar #Paapdwar #Dharmdwar and #Mokshdwar
It is said #Paapdwar was shut after the death of #Ravana and #Randwar was closed after #Mahabharata, presently #Dharmdwar & #Mokshdwarout are functional. It is said that #Pandvaas meditated here during their final journey after #Mahabharata

This cave was hidden to mankind...
for many years until Adi #Shankaracharya during his journey to #Himalaya visited & found this cave.

Cave has been taken in 2007 by the Indian Archeology Department
It is said once Lord #Shiva in anger separated the head of #Ganesha from body , later on the saying #Parvati Lord Ganesha was placed in the head of the elephant, but the head which was separated from the body is believed to be The head is kept by in the #PatalBhuvaneswar cave.
