helpful that they were friends first before starting to date. After college William began his military career, and he wanted to work on becoming a pilot as well as getting his career started. Prince William saw what his parents went through, he was determined not to be pressured

pressured and rushed to get married. It’s said that Princess Diana went to visit William at school, to let him know that her marriage to Prince Charles has ended. She wanted to speak to him, before her famous 1995 interview aired. When speaking with William, she told him

something that stayed with him for many years. Diana mentioned to William “if you find someone you love in your life you must hang onto it and look after it, and if you were lucky enough to find someone who loved you then one must protect it”.

It is reported that in 2005 Prince William was quoted as saying: “Look, I’m only 22 for God’s sake. I’m too young to marry at my age. I don’t want to get married until I am at least 28 or maybe 30.” In 2007, after a short breakup Prince William and Kate made a pact that they were

going to get married when the time was right. Prince WIlliam has talked about the lessons that he has learned from his past. He’s been quoted as saying “he and his future wife intend to carry out far fewer official engagements in their first two years of marriage than usual.

The strategy allows them to grow into their marriage, and gives his wife time to adjust to royal life.” William was determined to make sure that Kate was ready for her role, so the two worked together to ensure they were ready for their future.

It’s no different than the future king of England wanting to take his time. Prince William wasn’t under the same pressure as his father to get married, he wanted to enjoy life with Kate and his friends before committing to the next step in his life.

There’s nothing wrong with this at all, it shows how much he respects Kate that he wanted to ensure she was ready for what the future holds.
