A little bit before lockdown I was having a chat with someone (?) on here about the skills I learned as a musician/performer/creative that are vital to my day job.
Well now this lockdown is upon us I am so thankful I& #39;ve spent so much of my life as an amateur musician.

I work for a fantastic little charity - we& #39;re a team of 9 and we& #39;ve had to WFH and move our services online.
Move a website over to wordpress you say? Yes, I& #39;ve been running wordpress sites for a decade for my music. No problem.

We all have to be happy with getting things done quickly, even if it means we don& #39;t do it perfectly? Yeah, sure I& #39;m a performer - you want me to skip soundcheck and just get up there and play? If I have to I can.
We need new ideas and new ways of doing our services? We need to learn a new bit of tech? We need to be happy with the white-knuckle terror of trying something for the first time in front of a new audience? Yep, yep, yep. I got your ideas, I got your improv skills, I have no fear
If I was in charge of education I would make sure everyone got to develop these skills, particularly stuff around improv, trying things out and acting even when scared. Not the only important skills, but they matter.
