Centuries/ODI among top 10 batsmen with most centuries, taking into account the average number of centuries per ODI in the era they played in:
Kohli: 3.43
Sachin: 3.44
Amla: 3.8
Rohit: 4.31
ABD: 4.8
Ponting: 5.14
Ganguly: 5.65
Gayle: 5.85
Jayasuriya: 6.1
Sangakkara: 7.17
To do this I simply divided number of ODIs played by the number of centuries scored by the batsmen. Then I divided that number with the total number of ODIs played in their playing years divided by the total number of centuries.
Kohli and Sachin are far ahead of the rest, but Sachin has done it over double the number of matches, so let's see if Kohli manages to maintain this average in the future too. India is really lucky to have these two legends play for them.
