just a note before i start: always feel free to correct me on anything here. i don't yet know enough on the topic of the nth room, but im trying my best. you might know this as the doctor's room case, it is the same thing. (continue reading the thread)
so, to put it very, very simply - nth room is basically just a horrible criminal case that involves korean men (i'd assume there could be some women too, but the vast majority is men) who paid for and shared disgusting videos of pornography, (continue reading the thread)
especially child pornography (literally disgusting wtf) and there was an online telegram chat room where men using the chat could share these same videos. there were many cases in this bigger case. this included sick things like human trafficking, (continue reading the thread)
threatening and sharing of personal information that had not been shared voluntarily, and uploading of pictures and videos against the women's consent. it has been said that a high school student (yes, an actual kid) used the chatroom (continue reading the thread)
to share links for drug dealers, and even gave out tips as to how to avoid confrontation with police. the whole case is a mess and not enough people know about it because it seems korea (and subsequently, their news outlets like dispatch) are trying (continue reading the thread)
