Why nearly all the Liverpool squad is massively overrated by our fans - my honest opinions

Arguably the most overrated in the squad. Rarely makes game changing saves and, whilst sometimes his distribution is very good, he often gives the ball away in his own half. Should have saved Messi’s free kick as well, started too far to one side from that distance.

Going forward I’d still say the best RB in the world but defensively looks like a Sunday league player. When a relegated winger has a fullback on skates for 90 minutes you know there’s trouble. Leroy Sané has a field day when he plays Trent. Great attacker, shite defender.

Still not recovered from his injury last season. Was very good before that but has been poor since then, still has potential to be something special but his defensive awareness can be poor. However, he does have to cover Trent all game so he’s often isolated.

Opposite of Gomez imo, used to be utterly useless but has been solid this season, I still don’t feel confident when he has the ball at his feet and when he ‘drives into the midfield’ it looks like he’s nervous about where the ball will end up. However, I think he’s rated fine.

He’s the best in the world in his position and everyone knows it so therefore he’s not over or underrated. I wish people would stop comparing him to other great Cb’s as he’s not even close to finishing his career and you can’t compare him until he’s played a few more years.

Again, potentially the most fairly rated in the squad. Everyone knows he’s very good however I haven’t seen many comparisons so Cole/Carlos which is good as he’s not at that level. Does the job that’s required very well.

Before his injury he was immense however since then he’s been pretty poor tbh. On his day he’s great but needs to be more consistent m. However, the fact I see Liverpool fans thinking he’s better at DM than Kanté is shameful to say the least.

As a leader it’s clear Hendo is one of the best around and he has to be as his footballing ability is bang average on a good day. Anyone remember England V Croatia? His party passing was awful that day and against Sevilla a few years ago he managed a 55% completion rate.

The Dutch Jermaine jenas, aka Mr bang average. Goes sideways way too much and is massively overrated because he scored a brace against Barca. Having said that though, he does add a few goals here and there so isn’t completely useless.

It’s very rare klopp makes a poor signing but this might be his worst so far. Shows glimpses of potential but loses the ball way too much, except some Liverpool fans will try convince you he ‘hasn’t been given a chance’. Get him gone and replace him ASAP imo

Used to be one of the most underrated players in football but I think he’s respected now. Overall, nothing special but he’ll do a job where and and when required. Gonna be a loss when he retires.

Such a shame he got injured because I had a feeling he could have takes his game to the next level as he was showing consistent end product which he never had before. Underrated imo as he offers soemthing no one else does and he’s constantly improving

If I had a pound for every time he loses the ball or misses a big chance then all of Africa would be eating like kings. He’s still a top quality player but he’s so overrated because he missing so many big chances. (Remember Napoli last season) how many chances did he have?!

Very similar to Mané. Obviously they’re great players and the numbers do show that but I don’t trust either of them to finish chances and the cheek to see him compared to Ronaldo, Suarez etc in the prem. He’s not half the player either of those two were. (Continued)

(Continued) Salah and Mané are both very lucky they are in the system they’re in and I reckon if either of them move clubs they will struggle as they won’t get 5 chances again and they won’t get away with losing the ball so much.

Underrated, then overrated. Now he’s somehow both. Underrated by rivals but overrated by Liverpool fans. He’s very important and he allows Salah and Mané to be the main goalscorers however he’s simply not as good as Agüero or Aubameyang. (Continued)

Everything about firmino would suggest he’s shit at football however he had a high football IQ which is why he’s any good. His actual football ability isn’t great and he’s not the same player as 17/18.

When firmino is being spoken about but when it’s Salah or Mané stats are the most important things. That’s why our fans are hated because they’re mostly hypocritical and come up with stupid suggestions like saying Salah is better than Hazard because he scored more.

Scored a few big goals and will always be remembered for them however as a player he’s pure shit. One of the more brain dead players I’ve seen play and when he starts is normally useless. Very overrated as Liverpool fans have concord themselves he’s world class.
