as it’s mental health awareness week i just wanted to drop in day a few things about mental illness and the importance of this subject! as someone who deals with anxiety this is a something i am passionate about💚
mental illness is REAL and is not just ‘made up in your head’ like a lot of people claim, so please don’t let anyone tell you that you’re mental health isn’t important. your feelings are valid!
mental health can affect your physical health too, therefore it shouldn’t be ignored. if you think you’re dealing with a mental illness please speak to a medical professional! i’m speaking from personal experience as my anxiety sent me to a & e -
with severe chest pains after ignoring them for a few days, do not do that!! something that i need you all to remember is that you are not a burden, ignore all of those little negative thoughts in your head telling you otherwise. if you need to talk-
to someone don’t hesitate to talk to a friend or family member about your feelings, because they can help you to unload all of those bottled up feelings you have and you will feel so much lighter.
i’m finishing this thread by saying that you are important, your feelings are valid and your life is worth living. never give up because the world needs you here, you are all beautiful in your own special way and no one can replace you. you are loved 💛
