Who let exvangelicals start talking about deconstruction with no idea what it means and no interest in learning?

Every time I come across folks on here using it to talk about "deconstructing their faith" I just be like

Obviously ppl can use language however they want, but it definitely came abt via ppl claiming the term deconstruction as used for Evangelical fear mongering about postmodernism but then using it in the misunderstood way conservatives were using it instead of learning abt it

Anyway, seems weird to take a field of knowledge most famously developed by a French Jew who often forwarded a critique of Western Christian colonial production of language & knowledge to turn it into a way of talking about how your theology supports gay ppl now.
