4/The dismantling of the public university through privatisation, fee hikes, seat cuts, curbs on reservation etc is already under way since neo-liberalisation, the recently proposed New Education Policy (2020) being the latest in the series of attacks.  #DUAgainstOnlineExams

5/The push for online modes of learning/exams as response to #COVID19, alongside budget cuts on allocations for e-learning is the last nail in the coffin towards completely destroying the minimal access marginalised students had managed to achieve. #DuAgainstOnlineExam

6/ In a country where electricity connectivity is erratic in most places, particularly rural areas, where only 24% own smart-phones or have internet connectivity, where only 8% homes with young members have a computer with internet (contd..)

7/..where there is a huge gender divide in internet access  -- any move towards digital education is highly exclusionary and reverts many hard earned gains that had made access to higher education possible for the marginalised. #DuAgainstOnlineExam #educationwithoutexclusion
