Patal Lok review from a friend:

Whenever a 'Dalit woman' is on screen, she is being 'oppressed' or looked down upon.
1) In punjab, Tope's mother is only there to get gang raped it seems...
2) in Delhi Tope's mami is been shown like a 'bad mohalla woman' who reveals information to police which is not supposed to be revealed.
3) Dalit samaj party and Kalyani jiji are direct references to BSP and Mayawati in up.
The party is linked with the Nexus of mafias, money laundering, criminal conspiracy etc..this is the first time in Bollywood someone has 'criminalise' and looked down Dalit politics which is in my view the politics of the most oppressed people of the world.
4) In Punjab 'Chamar' is used as a slur...pop singer 'Ginni maahi' made a song 'Danger chamar' to reclaim the identity and that particular word which was used as a 'caste slur'... That whole thing becomes 'Danger manjaar' here, you see....
So in this particular sub plot people who partake in a movement are violent, they give arm training and physical training but when upper caste attacks they can't rescue or save even themselves...only brahmin writers could have came up with this kind of gems.
