some musical kpop things i've always wondered abt; a thread
song: kard – don’t recall in B♭m
there's a difference between the harmony of thirds in the original ver (D♭-D♭-C over B♭-B♭-A♭) vs the harmony of fourths (E♭-E♭-D♭ over B♭-B♭-A♭) in the hidden (eng) ver. they're both v sexy n i thought it was interesting
song: woosung – face in F♯m
the person in the vid is banging on a G key on the piano when the song itself is in F♯m n doesn’t have a G in its scale? maybe the song was originally in Gm?
song: girl’s day – something in F♯m
the stylistic choice for the songwriters to have the dissonance of minah’s F♯ (root) against the track’s bass’ G♯ (M2) is such an awkward transition to me bc it resolves n remains unresolved simultaneously? but it’s purely subjective
this thread is v far from finished but downloading n trimming vids is time-consuming n i'm sleepy so
