when it comes to SA youtube, it’s very “easy” to game the system. it’s very clear what type of content SAns like/respond to/engage with and you can keep confirming that bias

in essence, people are just really nosy lol. they like knowing your mess/spice/drama (story times/tags), they like group entertainment (collabs/challenges), they like getting personal (couple channels/vlogs) and they like seeing your stuff (apartment tours/hauls).

people just really like getting to know people. which i understand. but it’s so frustrating because as much as there is a lot of leeway within those categories, it’s so limiting when people don’t watch your other content

this reminds me of that quote i was stuck on a while back. about creating content you want to be known for vs what your audience likes. difficult to balance

anyways the point of this story is that it’s very clear *why* certain channels and content are prevalent. but it’s dishonest and downright lazy to say other content doesn’t exist. it’s there. go watch it.
