This got me thinking right? So, without further adieu, I present the various styles of dance the om! characters would do: a thread (according to me, a person who has 16 years of dance experience oOP!) https://twitter.com/Iuciferspride/status/1262570297091256320
Lucifer: Ballroom
Though ballroom can be done socially, he only does it competitively with his partner, regardless of the genre. He’s a commanding lead and demands excellence, but through hours of practice, whatever routine he and his partner are doing becomes perfect.
Mammon: Jazz Funk
It’s loud, high-paced, athletic, and sometimes! sensual. As a model, he’s come in contact with a lot of commercial dancers and after getting into a fight with one about who could do a body roll better he started learning some of the basic movements.
Levi: Musical Theater
He may be a shut-in otaku but the moment TSL released their first musical adaptation, he spent days learning and perfecting the movements. The second he hits the stage his practice shows through his fluidity and perfect mimicry of the characters.
Satan: Ballet
A style that is about absolute mental control over your own body. A professional has to be rigid in their technique and specific with each movement, making the dance look breathless and easy to the viewers when in reality your muscles are screaming for you to stop
Asmo: Vogueing
Of course Asmo would know the dance style that is based on high fashion poses and pantomime. Not only do the exaggerated movements draw attention making them perfect to show off at the Fall, they tell a story that can be read through the clicks and speed.
Beel: Tap
Due to his large physical stature, he has difficulty with the more full body-based dances preferring the precision and experimental elements of tap. It requires a great deal of strength & control as a slight variation in foot placement can create a very different sound
Belphie: Contemporary
A combination of modern, ballet, and jazz, contemporary focuses on express emotion through active movement while containing control of your body. It helps him express repressed emotions and convey his innermost feelings without being too blatantly obvious
Diavolo: Breakdancing
While researching human culture, he found some videos of dance battles and immediately started practicing the flashy human custom. With his compact muscles, he’s easily mastered stales and kip-ups on the first day, now enthusiastically learning headspins
Simeon: Pole
He has a lithe body with an extreme amount of all-around strength making him perfect for pole dancing. He claims it’s only for exercise but with that black g-string leotard that he insists on wearing at practice every day, many people don’t buy it.
Barbatos: Modern
Due to His Lord’s encouragement to learn human culture, he eventually chose to learn modern by default. It focuses on a great deal of core strength, but he has found the movements to be centering and self-rewarding during his daily life of service.
Solomon: Pop/Locking
He broke it out at hidden talent show during Diavolo’s annual slumber party. What’s the story behind it? No one knows, but he can do it and do it well. You have yet to see someone who can isolate as well as him.
Luke: Pom
It’s fast-paced, highly athletic, and full of tricks all without the use of hands. Luke’s a natural jumper but sadly he only breaks out the moves during RAD sports events to cheer against both demon teams.
