This "always resist the urge to shalaye" is another example of how young people feel about themselves.

Shalaye means explain.

If misunderstanding is normal and expected, how come clearing it up with an explanation is not normal and expected? Except...
1. You know most of your actions don't make sense so you don't want to hear the truth.

2. You don't even know what you are doing so you can't explain, not that you don't want to.

3. You are afraid of being wrong and getting correction because your ego or self esteem is fragile.
Folks are chasing new ideas; the ones that mean they don't have to be responsible.

"It is my opinion, I don't have to explain it"

Because you can't, you are not responsible enough to have a basis for your "opinion". Stop making this seem like a decision when it is a disability.
