Why was ICMR,a reasearch organisation chosen to lead this fight against Covid 19 instead of National Centre for Disease Control( NCDC),which was trained 2 fight epidemics,experience & infrastructure handled infectious diseases,Sars,H1N1,Malaria,dengue Gastroenteritis,encephalitis

With due respect 2 all,Vinod Paul,chairperson of task force, paediatrician.Balram Bhargava,director general ICMR,co-chair of the task force, cardiologist.Randeep Guleria, the director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences,New Delhi
member of task force, pulmonologist.

ICMR is a research organisation whereas disease control was the need of the hour.Why is NCDC with its team of epimidieologists experts in endemic diseases,having training & years of experience in public health & disease control not leading this fight against Covid 19? @ravishndtv
