Things just never change in the Cartoon Community

I’ve said this, and I’ll say it again

The Calarts Style is not a thing, it’s a petty deconstructive insult (coined by John K by the way) meant to deter artists (especially SU and Adventure Time Alumni, but in John K’s case, it’s to Insult the Iron Giant)

They then forget that different eras had other repetitive styles of animation

Like with the 70’s and all its embarrassing Scooby Doo Rip offs

Or with The 80’s and their Action Figure Shows

Now those are the worst

The 90’s and their Counter Culture

Hell, even the 2000’s and their sacred cow Western Anime style that the Cartoonaboos were and still are defending as if it was The Bible

However

Love it or hate it, It’s not always about the style

You can look so ridiculous and have amazing writing (12 oz Mouse and Duckman)

And or have good visuals and shitty writing (8 Crazy Nights and Shorty McShort’s Shorts)

And besides

Rebecca Sugar and Ben Bocquelet didn’t go to Calarts

so stop over generalizing a college as the cause for why some things look like sans, and judge a show’s style by what it has besides “Bean faces” (which are amazing and cool if done right)

While we’re at it

Let’s stop judging and labeling Obscure and underrated shows as Calarts and give them a chance even more

And stop having the same opinions, perspectives, and view points as Cartoon Critics, and follow your own thoughts

On a final note

I got 2 Blackouts in rounds of Volleyball at Bowser Jr. Blvd
