Browsing 90s comics since 00s books are “drivel”—meet Masada (Team Youngblood, 1993).

Masada’s namesake is a 1st century siege in which 1,000 Jewish people are thought to have died. Her power? Assuming the collective strength & height of, uh, every dead Jewish person in history.
Consequently I’m 99% sure this is where “with the power of 1000 slaves!” came from.
The angles in this comic are giving me nausea
Anyway stan Masada, #1 90s comic heroine powered by the ghosts of thousands of murdered Jews
Adding this to the thread because I had to look at it and now you do too.

Masada and the physical manifestation of her...powers....presumably from one of the YB reboots.

The fact that one of the souls she’s....collected is referring to “wicked thieving Jews” makes me wonder exactly what the definition of “people who gave their lives in the struggle Judaism” is here. Does it include people who died fighting /against/ Judaism? That’s....awkward.
QTNA: 1. Does being powered by the “collective spirits” of dead Jewish people mean she can grow to any size at all? Or is she limited to the collective height of the dead Jewish people stacked end to end?

2. Why are there two separate arcs in which she poses for men’s magazines?
