Just finished EP 8 of Steins:Gate (This& #39;ll be my Steins:Gate thread, spoilers obviously). I commonly see people refer to this as a top tier series, some have argued one of the best of all time. Right now all I see is just a very & #39;good& #39; show...
However, I& #39;m plenty optimistic about the events being foreshadowed. It& #39;s pretty clear there will be consequences for the time travel experiments (The idea of Moeka dying was lingered on to make that point).
Okabe& #39;s fictionalized outlook on the situation will definitely be challenged by (and this is just my prediction), the death of one of his friends. I& #39;m gonna put it out there that it& #39;s Mayushii who& #39;ll die. She doesn& #39;t offer anything in terms of knowledge but her personality
and overall quirkiness would make it tragic enough that it effects the audience and Okabe. So essentially, I& #39;m waiting on that tone shift. Obviously I hope I& #39;m wrong cause I think the cast is pretty good.
Also, I think SERN is in fact Okabe and his lab, but they& #39;re just not aware of it obviously. Those are my larger thoughts, will try to keep this updated.
Also, the whole bit with the trap is hilarious
About 6 minutes into Ep 10 of Steins:Gate and I& #39;ve never felt stronger second hand embarrassment than this
