Speaking as someone who has known Trump for decades, I promise you, he is lying about taking hydroxychloroquine. I also expect he will soon trot out some physician to lyingly confirm he is, or will drop the topic and deny he ever said it.

The purpose of EVERY Trump lie is.../1

...some form of personal aggrandizement - either reconfirming his deluded sense of "greatness" or informing people he is right when he is wrong. Add to that - the man is stupid. Taking hydroxychloroquine falls directly into that lie/stupidity pattern.

...Trump has NEVER understood the difference between the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat people with serious cases and the use of it for prophylactic purposes - in other words, to prevent infection. While the "treatment" studies have come with bad results, there has NEVER.../3

...Trump, in his mind, is never wrong. In his mind, everyone marvels at his brilliance, and he is better at all things than the experts. So, Trump is not infected. He is being tested all the time, everyone around him is being tested all the time, everywhere he goes is.../6

...decontaminated. He doesnt have it, and because of all the special treatment, he likely won't. And yet, people are doubting his hydroxychloroquine lie - which he believes must be right because he said it. What better proof is there than that HE is taking it? Even though.../7

...it has no prophylactic effect, his stupidity doesnt let him get that far. So he lies, saying he is taking it - by tomorrow or maybe even now, he will believe he is taking it unless he is challenged and must prove it and can't find anyone to lie for him - which is the..../8
