1) Your medical grow cannot be both outdoors and indoors at the same time. Indoor/outdoor grows are for seasonal purposes.
2) But if there is more than one medical grow at the address, one could be for outdoor and the other for indoor (simultaneously) (if the reg’ns so provide) https://twitter.com/mrhashfarms/status/1262518212198985729

3) Federally, your medical plants do not count toward your 4 rec plants per dwelling limit BUT you must follow provincial rules. For ex, BC rules say that you only get 4 rec plants IF an adult who does NOT have a medical grow resides there.

4) If you’re entitled to have med and rec plants at your dwelling (some prov’s ban rec grows, may also be banned by your lease/condo), one could be indoors and the other outdoors so long as you are respecting the terms of your medical reg’n and prov rules (some require indoor)

So...it depends on:
1) what province you are in
2) what adults reside in your dwelling
3) what your medical reg’n states
4) what your lease/condo rules provide
