It really seems possible that 1. a left that spent like four decades avoiding electoral politics is still trying to figure out how to do that well and 2. there are structural, bipartisan forces designed to keep the left out of power. Just my two cents!!

The idea that the left is hopelessly doomed to electoral irrelevance after precisely 4 years of actually trying and coming within striking distance of the Democratic nomination seems very dumb
