THREAD: Today I completed a text-message course on Architectural History (the free sample offering by @learnarist). I was curious to see how it worked & could be incorporated into my own courses somehow. I know, I know, course content by text message?! But it's not bad. 1/
/ it was 5 days of interesting text messages about Bauhaus building design vs. Frank Lloyd Wright. Included some images and links for more learning.
/ I'd say I learned as much as I would have gleaned from one 90-min. traditional class session or a presentation at a conference/symposium.
/ I think text-message course content delivery through @learnarist has a lot of potential, especially for either a class preview (prep before an individual class session, or maybe in place of a pre-class reading assignment before the first day of class)...
/ ...or as a post-class recap (the main takeaways from one class session) or in place of the end-of-the-semester review class before the exam.
