go figure, your Team Leader could sit there and yell out to the production floor your RPH just to shame you so you could start picking up on some sales, fake Australian accent and all . TL briefings before shift usually started with all the Red Zone Agents (low performers)...

separated from the stack rank (high performers, referred to as Top Dogs) agents for one good ear bashing...there was no need for a performance management system because really thats what the ear bashing was . Top Dogs were revered, they could get away with anything, they could.

walk in late and miss work and the TLs wouldn’t get pissed. If there was like 5-7 Top dogs in one shift that would be enough to cover everyones RPH on the floor. Top dogs won the incentives and gave it away to the red zone agents coz you could only handle so much incentives....

in one week, on the production floor these were cheap thrills to make us work but on $3/hr fuck I’d take every single incentive i could get, recharge, pizzas, beers, RTDs, movie passes, shopping vouchers . Top Dogs earned Commission at Sliver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Elite.

Top Dogs had so much attitude too, as usual as too much of something is also not good, so a few weeks at Platinum elite would be followed by a few months Red Zone tu ga . We used to batch our own sales then and send it over for quality checking, dare they try and reject it,...

job molded me to become the worker that i am today. I have so much respect for the call centre hustle, minimum wage and so much stress but Misery Loves Company so that made it fun lol i swore i’d never go back to a Sales Job after that, it’s not good for the heart

side note - i have the best telephone etiquette thanks to that job, if i must say so
