2. Text sent using @accuRx and request for further photos next to a ruler in bright sunlight. Reply with clear photos and immediately saved into notes with one click. (Those photos are better than any description I could do!)
3. Discussed with colleague with an interest in Dermatology via @SiiloMessenger. Decision made to refer urgently. Text response to patient and explanation document attached to it with @accuRx
4. Urgent referral completed via @LexacomDictate and dispatched with digital photos of lesion to help triage for my secondary care team colleagues
5. That whole process took about 10 mins from start to finish. And I could have done that without needing to be anywhere near my practice if needed. The patient never set foot in my room either, allowing them to get on with their day and not be tied to when I can see them
6. Covid has allowed us to innovate at speed. To all those calling for a return to the past - I think I’ll stay where we are thanks.
7. The ingenuity of working like this means I can create capacity to manage the complexity and ensure continuity for those that need it. But let’s accept that not everyone needs it and with digital innovation I can respond to that.
8. When we try to think about what primary care should look like for me it’s 75% reactivity and 25% continuity. Excited for the future and what we could do! #oneteam
