Finally finally finally watching Avatar for the first time and this art and animation is not what I was expecting but I love it.
I was on ep 9 kind of ready for them to introduce new characters then I get to 10 and I knew the second that Jet spoke he wasn’t shit.
The way Zuko leaves villages destroyed over Aang makes me dislike him but then numerous times he lets Aang get away to protect his crew and uncle, it really shows the duality of his character.
The fight choreography keeps getting better and better, Aang and Zuko’s moves are nuts.
Zuko’s sister told a nigga that the ocean waves will kill you without thought so worry about someone (her) who’s still thinking about it.
She can produce electricity!? Lord pray for Zuko and Unc.

Who I thought were going to be Aang’s teachers vs who some of them are has been one of my favorite parts of the story.
Midway thru season 2 and Katara has
-calmed Aang from Avatar state multiple times
-dueled a water bending master
-learned water healing
-kept a bunch of dehydrated preteens together on a desert
-split an ocean
-delivered a whole ass baby!
Katara must be short for Beyoncé
