As someone whose parents were protestors in Tiananmen June 4, listen to me when I say that the Western valorization of the Tiananmen & HK protests are nothing but an imperialist sham to topple China.

There is nothing "decolonial" or "pro-democracy" about these bourgeois protests

The Hong Kong protests are entirely driven by Hong Kongers chauvinistic, racist superiority complex over mainland Chinese that they got from being the West's chosen pets. Those who rebrand these protests as "pro-democracy" or "decolonial" are not only liars they are imperialists.

As someone whose seen how viciously racist Hong Kongers are to mainlanders, there is nothing "pro-democracy" about the protest. They are based entirely off of their obscene superiority complex & desire to maintain HK as free trade, neoliberal capitalist paradise for Westerners.

Me & many of my Chinese American friends have parents who protested in Tiananmen and listen when I say that literally everything the West says about it how the Tiananmen & Hong Kong protests are "freedom & pro-democracy" protests is utter bullshit & propaganda to balkanize China.
